In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. The shoe is extremely light and comfortable. The shoe is form-fitting to my foot giving it a nice look not looking bulky as some running shoes may look.

I've been running in the DS-Trainers by Asics for at least 5 or 6 consecutive years. I like this model a lot - 17 - because it's light and relatively stiff (feels fast, not mushy) but I don't feel like I'm on the pavement or underprotected. I like the DS-Trainers because the fit seems a bit narrow and that suits me. Good lightweight trainer that you can use every day and is raceable also.

These feel amazing. The cushioning allowed my to complete an Insanity workout with pain-free joints for the first time. It holds my foot snugly during lateral movement, and my heel stays in place as well.
However, the picture on Amazon shows sort of a sky blue color. When they arrived, it's more of a teal/bright blue. It's bright enough that it's almost a deal-breaker on these. I'm going to try the Asics Landreth 7, since they are very similar in design and they come in a grey/black/red combo. Hoping I can find a shoe I love as much on the outside as I do on the inside.
